Conserving Our Future
Forests across the world are being clear cut and destroyed at a rate of nearly 500,000 per hour. This is the equilvalent of 108,000 acres a day. Such staggering statistics demonstrate the need for a more responsible approahc to obtaining these materials.
Home building, remodeling, and improvements in homes and businesses account for two thirds of domestic wood consumption. These statistics do not begin to reflect the real impact on the land when you consider the methods used to cut and gather these materials use and burn additional fossil fuels.
Reclaiming the past, to preserve the future.
By collecting trees that have been discarded, damaged and left behind, we can not only reclaim the past, we can protect the beauty of this great land for future generations.
At Queen City Green we believe that a tree is more than just a board in the framwork of a home. A tree is an oxygen supply, a thing of beauty in our ever changing world... a symbol of the past, present and future.
